At its temporary work place on the Calumet River the “Mack” is being prepared for it's scheduled sinking on Nov. 15th, 2002. Through the efforts of the Tim Early Foundation.

At the stern we see that she was built for the State of Michigan she carried passengers and automobiles from 1928 to 1957. With a capacity of 90 cars and 400 passengers. At a cruising speed of 15 knots a typical crossing took 45 minutes.

Captain Bob is wearing an asbestos resperator to work in the more hazardous areas.
This looks looks like it will be a great dive site.
