Burnham Harbor is located in the middle of the museum campus in downtown Chicago on Lake Michigan.   Located directly east of Soldier Field with McCormack Place on the south and the John G. Shedd Aquarium on the north. Take the 18th Drive exit from Columbus Drive or Lake Shore Drive then turn left on Burnham Harbor Drive and turn right on Waldron Drive.

Parking: Parking in the area is $17.00 cash only, there is an early bird special at the planetarium lot for $12 if you would like to group up and car pool back. Divers on afternoon charters (and mornings on special event days or holiday weekends) will most likely have to drop off their gear and park in the Soldier Field Garage (east side off Museum Campus Drive) the Planetarium lot or Waldron Deck (off 18th drive).  

Lake Michigan is the third largest of the five Great Lakes and is the sixth largest freshwater lake in the world. It is the only Great Lake entirely within the United States.
